Chocolate – Wish Price Was More Reasonable, January 31, 2011

I needed chocolate colored bakers, and these fit the bill. I love the handles, and they are very comfortable to use. I recommend these. Wish the price was cheaper….don’t like paying for the Rachael Ray name.

Best bottle brush we’ve found, October 20, 2007

I bought one of these for my husband who has lots of water bottles (some with necks only about an inch wide!)that he uses while at work on construction jobs. This brush is the ONLY one we found that actually will clean those bottles. The key is, the skinny part of the handle BENDS so you can reach the unreachable parts of the bottles. I recommend this brush to anyone who uses water bottles on a daily basis.

Perfect for Nalgene Bottles, November 2, 2009

This brush is perfect for Nalgene bottles. It was not easy to find just the right brush, but now that I have, I am very happy. Another reviewer said that this brush was too big to fit in to a Nalgene bottle. That is not true. My Nalgene bottle has a 1 1/8″ opening, which is the smallest opening I’ve seen for a Nalgene bottle, and this brush goes in and out of it with very little effort. The bristles are soft, which I like. It cleans much faster than my old brush because it’s easier to control.

I have not reviewed many items, but I had to take the time to review this brush because every Nalgene bottle owner should have this bottle brush.

When I received my brush in the mail, some of the bristles on the end were flattened out from being in the box. After sitting on the counter overnight, the bristles had straightened back to their original form. So if yours has “bed head” when you get it, don’t freak. It’ll probably go back to normal with a little time.

Fits Nalgene Bottles, November 17, 2007

This is the first decent bottle brush I have found that fits through the neck of the narrow mouth Nalgene bottles. It’s nice and soft, too, so I feel safe using it on my nice wine glasses. This brush was so hard to find so I was excited to find it here. Oxo better not ever discontinue this brush or I’ll sue!!

This set appears to very well constucted, a bargain at the price listed. I haven’t had a chance to use all four of them, but they are sharp and seem to hold their edge well. And they come with a lifetime warranty.

Tough Review, May 23, 2009

This is a hard review. The primary PLUS I suppose is that this item is WONDERFUL for STOPPING HEAT … and I assume that is the primary reason you buy this.. it is essentially impervious to any heat that you’d normally encounter.. also its nicely lined with a soft and comfortable material, and reaches well up your arm to protect that as well.. how many times have you burned your wrist on the rack or oven side while reaching for a hot item? However it does have it’s problems!!

1. The most critical thing is the poor “flex pattern” which makes picking up items and gripping them very awkward. In the least case, I’d order TWO of these if you feel this is the glove you want.. this is so you can use both hands to grip anything you want to pick up.. this is the only way you’ll really get much of a grip and be confident that you can move hot items safely to where you’re going.

Poor Flex-Point,, January 8, 2010

The flex point on these gloves is terrible. When you try to bend your index fingers to grip a handle, the top portion doesn’t fold over completely. I found it impossible to get a really strong grip. If they had individual stitched channels for your fingers, it could have been a better product.

Just imagine the way a crab/lobster claw works. That is about the limit to the dexterity you will have gripping pot handles. A better solution for flexibility is to buy a pair of “Ove Gloves”.

I have always liked OXO products. This was my first bad experience with them.

Pass on this one unless you have man-hands!, November 13, 2009

I bought this for my petite mother-in-law and it was a disaster. I think she could have fit half her body in there, in addition to her hands. Even I had trouble with it, and I have very long fingers and usually have no problem fitting into oven mitts and gloves. There was a full 2 inches of empty space when I put it on, so I couldn’t get a good grip and I sent mine back. I gave this 2 stars instead of just 1 because the quality was lovely.

Nice shears, February 19, 2008

I like these shears. They are very sharp and work well. The only complaint I have it in the product review it states that the shears come apart for easy cleaning, and this is not true. If you go to the Henckels web site it doesn’t make this claim. I was looking for shears that came apart, so was somewhat Disappointed.

Solidly Built; Made in Italy, not Germany, August 19, 2011

These shears are solidly built, but a little on the small side. Best for small to medium-sized hands. The actual blade only measures 2 1/2 inches, which is not very long if you want to cut deeply into a piece of poultry. Also, they are made in Italy, not Germany.

I don’t mind that these don’t come apart easily. These are beautiful and functional. The picture doesn’t do them justice. If you are looking for high quality shears these are the ones you want.

Sturdy, well-designed bread board, August 24, 2005

This cutting board is a vast improvement over the previous bread board we were used to. The wooden board is made of thick, sturdy wood and the aluminum crumb tray is more than sufficient to support the board and catch crumbs. This is a cutting board that will hold up to years of use.

good product design but could be better, December 11, 2008

I like the size of the board for cutting most loaves and the slots work well to catch most crumbs. But even though it says it’s hardwood it has still shown some splintering with light use. Also, the tray would be handy to use in the oven, but doesn’t appear to be oven safe so I havent’ tried it.
